The rose is probably the most commonly bought flower in the world It has been used to express affection, love and the value of a friendship. In ancient times, it has been symbols for love, beauty and even life. In every interpretation, there is always a Rose Meaning behind it and it has shaped the world today.
In religion, early Christians made the five petals of the rose a representation of the five wounds of Jesus. But early Christian priests were hesitant to adopt such a symbol because of its representation to paganism and Roman indulgence. It has been the number one flower being bought during Valentines, Mother’s Day and strangely Christmas with sales reaching to millions.
Roses today have so many vivid colors that you can’t imagine that there are roses that can achieve such colors and because of such colors, each one has their own rose meaning. Take for example the red rose represents passion and romance while the white one symbolizes purity. Even a black rose exists which represents new beginnings instead of the death. Pale colored ones are given to show friendship while blue roses represent a sense of enigma. Combining colors would also result to different meaning of roses like red and white together means unity.
